real ale
real food
real fire
real comfy

The Battye family have been doing a fine job of running the Waggon & Horses in Langsett. For over 25 years they have become well known for their freshly prepared food, real ale and real fire. With a grand view from the garden overlooking Langsett reservoir and the Pennine moors, this comfortable and relaxing inn, built in 1809 of Yorkshire stone is a grade 1 listed building and set in a most scenic location. Langsett, is in a conservation area and one of the most attractive, historic and ecologically important areas of the Peak National Park. We pride ourself on our good character, friendly service and of course traditional country pub ambience - a welcoming bar without all those distractions of fruit machines and piped music, dominos and cards are the only games you will find here.

We also have a newsletter covering all the up-to-date stuff about the pub.
