We are very happy to welcome customers with dogs. Please just pop in and see what the dog count is - ask at the bar - because we can get a little overrun with dogs at this time of year. At week ends in particular if it is possible to return your dog to the car before coming for a meal or a drink that would be very much appreciated.

Our Film Festival was invited to Devon this year. The kind folks at Dartington College's Craft Revolution held their first Spoon Camp - a campsite in the woods specially set up to celebrate the craft of spoon carving. We met some wonderful people including Barn the Spoon, spoon carver extrodinaire, and we showed our favourite films to an appreciative audience under the stars and amongst the trees, a fantastic night was had by all. Mr Fox will be back with more fire, music, dancing and masked mystery on the 15th October 2016 - book your table early and wrap up warm.
The famous Langsett Fox Dance, which is held on the Saturday night nearest the full moon before the Fifth of November, usually called the Hunter's Moon.
At half past eight (or thereabouts) the masked dancers will commence to march to the Waggon and Horses, and perform once again the immemorial dance of this tiny Pennine hamlet.
We're currently looking for bar and waiting-on staff - contact Vanda
